Ripley U Better Believe It, Therapy Dog, CGC, FMCh "Ripley" 13 year old Australian shepherd
Rip is the old man of the group...and the face of Red Rover. His cute face just begged to be used for advertising! He's the first Aussie...the first of the "Reds" of Red Rover...a red-bi Australian shepherd. Also known as "Fluff" (among many other nicknames)...he's the head honcho of the dogs, always making sure that everything is ship-shape. He was a rescue from a pet-store that was going out of business...he was 4 months old, and he had spent all of that time in a cage. He was a wild puppy...always getting into trouble! We channeled that energy into flyball, agility and disc dog. Now at the age of 12 1/2, he's retired from everything...and spends his days being the "Neighborhood Watch" from the backyard.

Herart's Demon Lover, Service Dog, Therapy Dog, CGC, FGDCh-40K, TD-I "Xander" 9 year old red tri Australian shepherd
This wonderful boy was rescued from a high-kill shelter in WV by ARPH (Aussie Rescue and Placement Helpline). A few days later, he was adopted by me! He was a year old, had no manners, and only wanted to play with his ball...but he was sweet, snuggly and silly. He's gone on to many great things in his life...he's trained as a Service Dog (and helps John around the house) and he is a retired Therapy Dog. He is retired from sports too, due to an ACL tear...but he used to win ribbons in disc dog as well as being a fabulous flyball dog. He is now 9 years old, and enjoys playing ball in the yard and snuggling.

Herart's Serenity Companion, CGC, MB ONYX, FGDCh 50K, TF-II "Inara" 10 year old red merle Australian shepherd
This is Inara...the craziest, wildest, prettiest girl in the world! She was a rescue from ARPH (like Xander)...at the age of 1 1/2 years old. She'd already been bounced through three homes and two foster homes before I adopted her. Inara was fear-aggressive with people...and wasn't good with other dogs either. Her foster mom sent a sheet listing her pros and cons...literally...she had about a dozen cons, and a few pros. When I first met Inara, she wouldn't even come near me. I adopted her anyway, and set out to make her a flyball dog (yeah, I was insane).
Long story short, lots of patience, positive reinforcement training, and really good treats...and she's a different dog. She still has issues, but not to the extent as before. She's a fantastic flyball dog and a good disc dog...and my shadow...she follows me everywhere. She is my pretty, pretty girl!

Herart's Once Was Lost, Service Dog, Therapy Dog, FGDCh "Sawyer" 9 year old red tri Australian shepherd
Sawyer was found wandering outside of a vet clinic in Kansas City, MO. He was about 8 months old when I saw his photo on an Aussie rescue site, and adopted sight-unseen. He was transported to MD from MO by an Aussie-loving friend. He was quite a handful when he got here...but he's come a long way! He played flyball for many years, but has retired from everything except from being a Service Dog for his partner, John. He currently lives in Del Rio, TX...and helps out at A Pet's Wish Rescue.

Herart's Makin' Trax, Service Dog, Therapy Dog, CGC, MBM, FGDCh 50K, NAFA Region 15 MVP for 2012 "Score" 6 year old Carolina Street Dog aka pit bull/lab mix aka "Brown Dog"
This brown puppy was rescued off the streets at the age of 8 weeks. By 9 weeks old, he had been transported from NC to MD to join an Assistance Dog Program (Fidos For Freedom)...where I was the Puppy Coordinator at the time. He joined my household as a Puppy in Training...and excelled in his training. But...by the time that he was 4 months old, we started worrying that he was too "bully"...and since the organization was based in PG County, MD we had to wash him from the program (see Score's page for more info on the Breed Specific Legistlation in PG County).
He was supposed to go back to NC...but instead he stayed here with us at Red Rover. He stole our hearts!
Score stayed in training for Service Work, and was also a Therapy Dog with Pets On Wheels. He also is a terrific flyball dog...making a name for himself all over the east coast. He recently was voted the NAFA Region 15 MVP for 2012

Herart's Purple Dragon MBD, FMX "Figment" aka The Wiener 4 year old chocolate and tan miniature dachshund
Figgy is the newest member of the gang...a little 11# dachshund. I've never had a little dog...so this is quite an experience. Everyone that meets this little guy just falls in love...he's just chock full o' AWESOME. He was supposed to just be a foster...but he wormed his way into the gang.
He loves to train for flyball and is still working on his basics too...but he's got a lot of tricks up his sleeve already. He LOVES working with the clicker...he's a true hound...anything for food! He is currently the #2 ranked miniature smooth dachshund in the North American Flyball Association (NAFA).
